It’s a busy year at Happy Lady Productions with no less than four books scheduled to be launched in 2013:
Dogs Are… Just Like You!
This is a very special project, the
intellectual property rights for which we have proudly donated to charity, Gabriel’s Angels, a pet therapy program for at-risk children. The project is currently in production and will be launched at their main fundraising event in May 2013. the book will be used both as part of their therapy program, as well as a fundraising tool.
Silly Lily’s 101 Great Names for Dogs
This children’s picture book is the perfect and fun way to involve children in the naming of the family dog. Artwork will be by our own amateur photographer, Dan Merchant.
It’s a King’s Life
It’s a King’s Life features the travels of dog writers Happy and Lady, the first in a series of their travel adventures. Dan Merchant provides the artwork.
Sequel to Dima’s Dog School
At last, Dima Yeremenko and Emily have teamed up once more to create an offbeat and unique dog training book, a sequel to the successful Dima’s Dog School. Details are hush hush until the project is launched. What we can tell you is that it will be the very first of its kind.
Films
Happy
HLP owns the rights to the animated film screenplay, Happy, a film based on a lovable street mutt who finds happiness with a human family, transforming their lives in the process. The movie is intended to be one for the whole family to enjoy together. Happy’s character lives on and will be made into sequels. Happy is also part of proposed TV series.
Dogs are People, too
Dogs are People, too is the second film on HLP’s slate. Again, this is a film for the entire family to enjoy and to celebrate the joy of dogs. The movie’s dog stars include a Burmese Mountain Dog and his sidekick Cavalier King Charles that revitalizes a small town in the Midwest.
Further Projects
Other work in development include a romantic comedy screenplay based on an original novel, Just Desserts.
